Theeee Gaaaaaame :)

The other day my dear friend presented me with a dilemma!

**Making friends!

It can be very difficult to accomplish sometimes so I've come up with a little game :)

--Friend Game

  • Goal: To make as many friends as possible duh! But also to get as many points as possible!

  1. 5 Points: Keep old friends updated! Don't forget them :)

  2. 10 Points: Wave and smile to someone new in the hallway

  3. 10 Points: Talk to someone sitting by themself!

  4. 10 Points: Compliment someone

  5. 15 Points: Taking the iniative and asking someone new to be a partner in a school project (5 extra points if it's a cute boy!)

  6. 15 Points: Sitting with new people at lunch

  7. 15 Points: Text someone new

  8. 20 Points: Ask someone to help you study after school

  9. 25 Points: Call someone new

  10. 25 Points: Ask someone to actually hang out!

  11. 25 Points: Give someone a NON floppy hug

  12. 30 Points: Ask a couple of people to hang out!

  13. 35 Points: Have a sleepover

  14. 40Points: Hang out with someone besides *not disclosed* over winter break

  15. 50 Points: Get invited to a party

  16. 55 Points: Go to said party anyways, just ask someone else to go with you ha

  17. 60 Points: Go to not just any party but a BIG HOLIDAY PARTY, perhaps a new years eve party?

  18. 75 Points: Feel comfortable enough to be yourself around new people

  19. 80 Points: Be able to call these said people friends

  20. 80 Points: Go to a dance stag with a couple of friends

  21. 100 Points: Get asked to a dance

Tell me more that I can add, because I don't feel like thinking anymore!

Reach 100 points and treat yourself to a pedicure :)

The point system helps take away the actual pressure of friend making and rewards you for the little stuff :D

Epiphany

Ahem...
**Surround yourself with people that make you feel happy.
People that don't make you second guess yourself.
People that don't make you feel inferior and sad.
People that you can actually call friends.

It's better to figure it out later rather than never :)

Origins

My car's name is Fender, and for good reason.

It all started two years ago, before it was even my car mind you, over labor day weekend.

Me and Lauren decided to take advantage of the limited amount of laws that are enforced up in the Uintahs :)
Our joy ride was cut short. Lauren had backed up and hit the right side of the car into a tree!
It was then given the name Fender

Fast forward two years later:

I got dropped home from cross country practice expecting a great "surprise" as my dad called it.
I was excited! Maybe I was getting a nice gift!
I was definitely surprised to find that my gift was actually that fact that my grandpa and ran into Fender, denting the OTHER side of the car.

It got fixed
Fender became BEA-utiful
and the name kind of died away.
All was well.

Two months after Fender was made gorgeous, I backed up and...

hit the right side of the car into a tree!

Lovely really, Fender got his name back that's for sure.

Yesterday I had the misfortune of getting into a little accident outside of Pepperwood.

When the guy said it was just a little Fender Bender, through the tears, I started to laugh.

The end.

People

A person is like a rope.

The more stress put on it, the weaker and more frayed it becomes.

The rope can't handle as much, and finally

it snaps

The one thing you can count on..

My mom always tells me that the only thing you can count on in life is change.

After the past week, I've come to cherish this quote so much more than I ever have.

Things happen for a reason, things change for a reason. It's all apart of living.

Sometimes the change that happens isn't what we want it to be, but if we never went through something challenging, we couln't look forward to something changing for the better.
I've decided right now that I'm just going to take life day by day and accept change.

It's the only thing that you can do to stay sane!

Hahah julie don't kill me, but I'll use these pictures as examples :)

Lovee

UEA WEEKEND

I have been so lazy it's a tad bit pathetic.
That's okay though :)

I have actually done something this weekend I promise!
Here's a list
  1. Successfully asked someone to the Halloween Dance!
  2. Successfully helped Rachel and Tiff ask to the Halloween Dance!
  3. Ran Up At Alta Ski Resort! It was absolutely freezing!
  4. Played Smash Brother's Brawl?? Some weird video game but I dominated!
  5. Hit A Tree with my car... in the exact same spot as last time
  6. Drove around listening to 101.1 with Caesey. I don't suggest ever tuning into that station
  7. Got Answered back to the Halloween Dance :)

Now all of this seems so stupid to everyone else but I know that I had fun!

I guess the real reason that I posted this was to make myself feel better, because I really thought I hadn't done anything over UEA!

P.S.

Region is in five days

Can I Just Say...

TRYING TO CRAM A WHOLE SUMMER'S WORTH OF MEMORIES INTO YOUR BRAIN...

Is definitely not for the weak.

I suggest a journal of some sort.

Or a picture album!

Neither of which I'm very good at keeping up with :)

Summer 09'

:) It's been fun hasn't it????
